5 Stylish Ways to Incorporate Leather for Timeless Elegance
For those who may not know me on a more personal note, leather is never too far away from my wardrobe.
There’s something about those sweet woody notes with smokey undertones that gently stirs the impulses of being alive and free that one can appreciate. We all remember the first time we eased on a leather jacket, dress, or shoe that subconsciously changed our demeanour.

So, you can imagine my excitement when the invitation hit my mailbox. Not only was this the launch of Pavoni’s new London flagship home and showroom, but it was also a fated moment for me to explore the hautest leather textiles I know.
I was thrilled to highlight this on my vision board, as the Pavoni brand is one I have admired for some time. To top it off, this came with the honour of exploring their 2019 Colour Collaboration with Kelly Hoppen. A curated leather range based on some of her favourite fabrics, making this encounter a treat like no other.
Pavoni is known by myself and others as a fashion brand in the fashion world servicing clients such as Jean Paul Gautier, Jimmy Choo and Victoria Beckham.
A prestigious 100% Italian leather brand found in 19 countries;- spanning from the United States to Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Hong Kong.
Pavoni today can be found in some of the most distinguished, known luxury brands, among them Aston Martin, Amouage, Louis Vuitton showrooms and Four Seasons Hotels, as well as many Royal Households around the world.
I have a thing for Italian design, and I’m convinced I was Italian in a past life, but that’s another post.

Leather is one of the world’s widest-used materials for a reason. It’s durable and versatile and can be exercised in many ways throughout an interior design scheme.
Once installed, this textile offers timeless refinement, married with the right pairing of opposing complimentary fabrics that will look and feel stately, making this a reliant and exquisite upholstery texture.
At this point, I think it’s safe to say I can let you in on a few of my quirks; I’m the kind of designer that loves to feel and smell the materials I handle and work with, weird but true, (after all, this is how we partly learn to identify objects as infants, is it not?
Pavoni produces a wide range of leather types and is the only distributor in the market who manufactures Analine finished products.
This type of leather is dyed exclusively with a soluble colour agent, a vegetable colourant, meaning no chemicals are used during this process.

This result retains the hides’ natural surface.
Any visible variations on the face of the undyed leather, in the character of visible pores, scars, or other blemishes, will remain visible. For this reason, only high-quality hides are suitable for this type of finish.
And it is this process which adds a divine characteristic, making this choice a one-of-a-kind and distinctive material to add to your home.
The Pavoni & Kelly Hoppen Colour Collection gives way to an array of textures and gorgeous bursts of high-spirited colours (with a handful of neutrals, of course). Smooth, embossed, and suede finishes permeated my eyes.
You are spoilt for choice with the soothing rich colour palettes each Pavoni collection exhibits. It’s easy to become obsessed with how each coat plays with light, altering its pigmentation and introducing a chameleon-like quality, which adds to the allure of the wealthy set of options available.
Leather in your home can be more than sofas and cushions.
A couple who was there, celebrating on the night of the showroom’s opening, asked, “What would you do with those?”
They both pointed to the samples I had selected.
“Well,” I grinned and proceeded to lead them to the display table ahead of us so I could run through my ideas.

After exchanging details with the couple, I made a beeline towards Kelly Hoppen herself, who was casually going through the collection with another guest. I stood listening attentively to her recommendations and it was here she gave me a few golden nuggets, an insight into her set of “Bible colours”; design knowledge and inspiration, which I will treasure for a lifetime.
Special thanks to Pavoni & Co for a memorable night; and to Kelly Hoppen for being a genuine designer who cares.
